Tesla and the absence of women.

Tesla Motors, with a base in Palo Alto, California, and production in Menlo Park, designs and produces high performance electric vehicles for the discriminating market, and people with deep pockets.
Unlike many electric cars, the Tesla Roadster can travel over 200 miles in normal driving conditions without needing to be recharged. The top speed is 125mph, as with many electric cars this has been set as the limit. I am not sure why they do this, perhaps so that one cannot drive faster than the optimum eco-saving speed? A full charge only takes 3.5hrs, which is much faster than other electric vehicles. The Roadster also plugs in to many convenient places so it is much more of an everyday long distance vehicle as well.
I love the idea of electric vehicles, I am sure millions of other women would feel the same. So what I do not understand is why Tesla would not have one woman on their management team and have a website that is so clearly geared to the male vehicle enthusiast.
If Tesla wants to sell lots of their $100,000 + Roadsters, they need to start targeting the female market….after all; we do hold the purse strings.
