Coming soon – the first compact hybrid available in the United States

Doug Coleman, Toyota's Prius product manager, in an interview with HybridCars.com stated that the new hybrid car Prius C Concept shall be in the market by the first half of 2012. This will be the most value-oriented vehicle of the Prius family and will have the highest mileage among all cordless hybrids.
The new hybrid car is aimed towards young singles and couples and Toyota expects the hybrid Prius C Concept car to be the most affordable of the Priuses over the lifetime of the vehicle. The new hybrid car will be the size of a compact-class of vehicle with Prius DNA, and adding a little bit of fun to drive. The C in prius C Concept stands for City.
